English Degrees to Careers in Media! February 9 at 7:30 in Bagnani Hall, Traill College

On Monday February 9 at 7:30 pm in Bagnani Hall at Traill College, two professionals currently working in television and film production will talk about their careers and contemporary practices in their media fields.

Jason Gaetan is an Assistant Production Coordinator and Jim Maxwell is a digital matte artist whose work has been acknowledged by the Emmy Awards and the newly established Canadian Screen Award for Visual Special Effects. Jim is presently engaged with The Vikings while Jay’s current project is Degrassi. Jim also just finished working on Guillermo Del Toro’s film Crimson Peak, and he is a Trent alumnus.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to find out about careers in both the creative and production ends of television, and to get some genuine insight into the way in which contemporary visual media functions.

All are welcome. There is no charge for admission, and there will be a casual reception afterwards in The Trend.
